I have a BSc (Hons) in Nursing Studies, University of London.
Having moved to Bristol in the 1980s, I worked as a Health Visitor before moving into planning and public health managerial roles both for the NHS and within the not-for-profit sector.
My Psychotherapy training was with Bath Centre For Psychotherapy and Counselling and I was awarded their Diploma in Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy.
I have an MA in Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy, awarded by Middlesex University.
My MA thesis was entitled 'The Unseen Wound - A study of early relational trauma and its impact on the developing self.'
In response to the Covid 19 situation, I recently completed the Online Therapy Institute's training in 'Moving your practice online'.
For many years I have worked part-time at The Harbour, a charity for people who are terminally ill or bereaved, where I provide time-limited counselling and supervision.
I regularly facilitate workshops for Breast Cancer Now around the impact living with cancer has on relationships.
